2018 Bio:

Corey Richardson joined Teamworks in January of 2017 where he currently serves as Vice President of Sales. Working closely with the company’s leadership team, he oversees the sales organization which is responsible for new customer acquisition and growth within the Collegiate, Professional, and Emerging Markets.

Since joining Teamworks, Richardson has helped grow its customer base from 500 collegiate teams to more than 2,000, and 6 professional teams to more than 90.

Prior to joining Teamworks, Richardson held executive sales leadership roles for a couple of local SaaS start-ups where he amassed more than 18 years’ experience in Sales Leadership. During his time at Medfusion, he helped grow annual revenues from $500K to more than $8M, leading to the eventual acquisition by Intuit in 2010. He remained with Intuit as an executive sales leader for 3 years; during which time, he was selected to Triangle Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, recognizing him as one of the Triangle’s up and coming business leaders and community supporters.

Richardson holds a degree in Business Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill, where he played baseball from 1994 – 1999, earning All-ACC honors his sophomore year and was a two-time scholar athlete award winner.

He currently lives in Durham with his wife of more than 13 years, Jenny, and their 3 children: Zoe (11), Levi (7), and Micah (6).
